JW Marriott Pune is set to transform into a haven for food lovers this summer. The hotel is hosting three food festivals; namely the Street Foods of Asia festival, The Sea Food Festival and the Cheese Festival at Shakahari, Spice Kitchen and Alto Vino respectively. The Street Foods of Asia festival is an extravaganza of sorts at Shakahari, exhibiting popular local dishes from the streets of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and India. Food-lovers can enjoy lip-smacking dishes such as spring rolls, satay, chaat and pancakes, prepared on live carts along with some regional signature beverages like golas and bottle sodas.
And if patrons haven’t had enough of the treats from the streets, they can drop by again for a taste of the ocean. Sea food lovers of the city have something very appetizing to look forward to, as Spice Kitchen offers fresh aquatic flavours including a variety of steamed, pan seared, grilled and fried offerings. Asian steamed delicacies such as Kaffir lime and lemongrass marinated steamed fish and Pandan leaf wrapped fish, Western Fried dishes such as Bran crusted fish with remoulade sauce and Machali Seekh Kebab and Kastoori Machali Tikka from the tandoor is available for patrons. A wide choice of sauces and gravies helps them enhance the flavours, just as they like it.
The best part is, the surprises don’t end here. The Cheese lovers have a lot in store at the Cheese Festival at Alto Vino. The fest has an exclusive menu of Antipastis, Pastas and Souffles curated with Cheese as the main ingredient. Special Dutch cheese from Holland is the prime attraction of the festival.
