Manoj gets a standing ovation for his performance in ‘Aligarh’

Manoj  Bajpayee has always been the talented actor who is versatile and one who always takes up challenges. We have always seen him in diverse roles, be it a gangster in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, a politician in ‘Rajneeti’, a police inspector in ‘Shool’ or a psycho in ‘Road’. He is said to be one of the finest actors of the B’town and now he raises his bar yet again with his performance in the film ‘Aligarh’.
The film ‘Aligarh’ premiered at the Busan Film Festival garnering a lot of escalation and respect in which Manoj plays the character of a 65years old, gay professor. His performance was so loved that the audiences graced him with a standing ovation!
Aligarh will now be screened at the London Film Festival from the 10th of October to the 13th of October and if sources are to be believed, both the shows are sold out and it is getting difficult for the organizers since there is demand for more tickets.
The fine actor has spread his wings across the globe and has made place in everyone’s heart. “I am honored to receive such appreciation from my international audience. I feel really happy that I could deliver my performance in a way that they could connect to me and feel my character. It was definitely a challenge for me since this is not something usual for us Indians, but looking at the response, I feel happy that I took the risk and pulled if off really well.”
