Don’t you feel bad when you have to go out with your friends and family for a day-long fair, but can’t take your furry friend along? Don’t you wish you could spend a fun-filled afternoon with your pet and bond over some together time? Last weekend, Hyatt Pune, Kalyani Nagar did something out-of-the-box and invited all the dogs and their parents to ‘Let’s Take The Dog Out’, an afternoon of fun, food and festivities.
Dressed up in cool and super funky attires, these furry friends turned up in style and walked the aisle as ‘Superdogs’, ‘Batdogs’, ‘Roadside Romeos’ and well everything their humans wanted them to. The event was held at an open-air venue decked up with colourful balloons, hoola hoops, a special photobooth and a delicious spread of mini-meals and pupcakes by Munchbox for the dogs.
The young and enthusiastic team of chefs at Hyatt Pune had an equally tempting spread of snacks, drinks and desserts for the humans too.
The evening started with fun exciting activities which included games such as musical bums (musical chairs for dogs and their parents together) and treasure hunt followed by a fashion show where the dogs showed their tricks and talent. There were special prizes and take-home goodie bags by Petville Store which added to the fun for them back home. Showing his excitement on organising this first-of-its-kind event for dogs, the General Manager of Hyatt Pune, Sumit Kumar was overwhelmed to see the dogs and their parents turning up in such huge numbers. “At Hyatt Pune, it’s our constant endeavour to offer something unique and exciting every time, and this event is a true example of that. Being a dog lover myself, I always felt there should be a platform where our guests accompany their dogs, and this was a step towards bringing them closer to Hyatt family.”
Many of the guests who had brought their pets along with their children for the first time to an event like this said it was a pleasant surprise which they always wanted to experience with their pets. “This event is a great way to show your furry friends you care. We always feel sad leaving behind our dog Romeo whenever we are heading out. We never thought we could treat Romeo at a 5-star hotel, so this has been one of the most happiest days of our lives,” said Anisha and Kunal Jaiswal.
Seema Seth who brought her pet Slash was equally excited and said it was her first such outing with Slash. “It was a very beautifully executed event. There was so much to do for Slash and even all the parents. We not only got an opportunity to have our dog make friends but also got to connect with parents and share our thoughts which was a great take away from this event,” added Seth.
Many of the pets who attended the event were rescued dogs. An urge which Hyatt Pune wanted to make to the dog lovers of the city through this event that more and more canine lovers should go out and adopt these bundles of joy.
